Jan Christensen Artist Talk

On October 6 Jan Christensen gave an artist talk illuminating his development as an artist.  With some earlier works a sort of PC world’s DJish, street version of Ashley Bickerton’s 1987 work, Le Art
, and more recently finding the wall to be an extension of his personal notebooks, exposing the often abstract, sometimes very direct conversations he has with himself about the role of art in society and of his own situation as an artist in relation to political, social and economic realms.  In the end he emphasised the significance of the internet, personal webpages, social networking sites, etc. as a place for exposing one’s art and interacting with an audience.
